“The Modern Prometheus”

This is a stunning bag. I love the colors, and the applique is just beautiful and so well done. This bag feels like it really captures my personality well, and it's now my favorite and will be my go to. This was a fantastic direction for Lettoria to go.

This is my 5th Lettoria bag. It's absolutely beautiful. I thought it would be black(didn't look hard enough ha) but instead it's a beautiful subtle blue that I love. It brings a "mood" to the bag if that makes sense, like I'm in the Derry Public Library upstairs in the corner cuddled up reading the latest King novella. It's roomy, but the middle pocket is attached to the side and makes it slightly difficult to open all the way. There was a loose loop of thread on the balloon, but it doesn't appear to be damaged at all, just a possible extra stitch. I know there were machine shop issues during production, so I'm very glad that it showed up in such wonderful condition regardless. All in all I really like it.

This is a beautiful work of art, with an appliqué you can gently trace with your fingers. Its rich colors invite you in and offer a moment of escape. You get a chill just knowing Dracula is waiting for you.

I preordered the Carfax Abbey handbag.. and was thrilled to finally receive it today! Oct 14, 2026.
Firstly, shipping: I live in Alaska, so to receive this bag before my sister who ordered before me and lives in California, well, that's great. With the expense of this bag, granted I got it on a sale price preorder cost, bags of this nature that have heavy interfacing and stiff leather, really should be shipped in a protective box, not a bag with barely any bubble air to hold it open to stop being squashed. No, I didn't do unboxing video, I was too excited! LOL! I'd be willing to pay extra shipping to ensure that protection though. With my bag you can see that at some point during shipping, a box had fallen onto it and likely remained that way for hours. It's squashed and dented... however, I'm a seamstress! I even work with leathers. I know that in no time, this will right itself, so no concern there, from me thanks to my knowledge of working with such materials. (Due to dent it has a bit of a lean right now, but it stands upright even with the dent)
Onto the bag itself: I'm a tad disappointed about the laziness of the cutting work and applique application. I mean, come on! This was rushed... obviously. I'm a patient person, I would've waited another year if I had to for an applique that is not done so... well, crap. Now, the owner had been giving updates and why there was delay in processing orders and such, so I can imagine dealing with shop machine failures wasn't fun and very stressfulIn sure. But that, is no excuse. However, what makes up for the applique is the overall structural integrity of this bag!
I do own a small hand bag and some long wallets from Lettoria, and those are all exceptional quality, and this bag, too, does not disappoint! Thie sewing quality where it truly matters, the functionality aspect, is spot on! I'm seriously impressed. If not for the offcut and too-fast-lazy-sewing of the applique on one side of my bag (Dracula's hairline is missing on the left, sheesh- see pic that doesn't have my skull charm), this would be a five stars review. With that said, from afar, you can't really see those issues, hence why I'm a tad dissapointed about the bag. I have a "bubble" i don't let people get into, so no one is really going to notice that, anyway.
This is a beautiful design overall. Unfortunate for the applique, but, not to the point I'd ask for an exchange. I'm keeping as-is.
Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase!
I just really hope, the Poe Raven Skein backpack I have preordered is not lazy on that design, too. Can't wait to get that backpack!
Oh.. I did contact customer service once, just to see when it might ship, and they were incredibly fast on response.

(PS, that is my own bag charm pictured [from LDV].. I didn't order a charm to match the bag.. my personal opinion is charm for a bag should be included, as many other designers do that for their exclusive bags, but hey, I understand business too. The charms available here I just feel are too expensive. Plus, when I ordered during the preorder sale, a charm was originally pictured on the bag- a very cool metal bat! So then a bit later when I saw charms being posted for sale.. I was saddened to realize the bag would not have that cool bat charm, and today that is confirmed.. I felt a bit played on that. However, it's just a damn decoration afterall, who cares, LOL! So happy with my bag!!)

I was so excited to finally get my bag, just in time for an event im going to tomorrow. However, please consider my comment on shipping. The bag had a fragile sticker but a very heavy box had been put on this package, when I first opened there was a horrific box corner indentation on side near bottom of purse. I put all the bubble wrap into the bottom corner inside the purse to push the indentation out and hopefully reshape the purse. I waited 3 days and as you can see there is no longer visible damage. The bag is wavy on top area and im sure it will straighten out also. This is my 3rd purse and I always worry about being shipped in a bag. Especially the applique purses. The dent was so bad I could have just photographed it and been done. But I waited so long for this beautiful well made bag its only proper if not a box to ship- put sturdy cardboard on each side of bag and then into polybag. Your bags deserve the best.
